GARDAÍ in Laois-Offaly are looking for the owners of a variety of power tools that were stolen in local burglaries.

The equipment includes a chainsaw and two strimmers that were seized by gardaí in December. It is hoped that owners can be identified as part of an investigation into power tool thefts across both counties.

The recovered tools are a Husqvarna Strimmer model 143 r11, a Stihl chainsaw model MS181, a Stihl hedge trimmer model HS45 and an orange leaf blower.

The seized power tools are currently stored in Tullamore. Anyone who recognises their property or whose tools were stolen in recent months is asked to contact Tullamore Garda Station on 057 9327052, Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 8674100 or any local garda station. Proof of ownership will be required before tools can be returned.
