THE next time you go into an Aldi supermarket, look out for a Laois product on the shelves.

A Laois food and drink producer has just secured a contract to supply Aldi’s 137 stores across Ireland through its Grow with Aldi programme.

PaddyO’s Cereals from Cullohill successfully won a place on the Grow with Aldi supplier development programme. The deal will see PaddyO’s range of granola seeds on the shelves from this Thursday, 6 June.

The company began as a passion project in the kitchen above the pub owned by Paddy’s parents.

Paddy O’Connell said: “To have our products recognised by a global retailer like Aldi is fantastic. Grow with Aldi provides huge exposure for our brand and lets us reach more shoppers than ever before. The support and mentoring offered by the programme has already benefited our business immensely.”
