A LAOIS spa made a splash at the national Irish Tatler Spa Awards when it scooped the ‘Best in Body Care’ prize.
The Heritage Spa team in Killenard won the award for their “Heritage Signature Massage”, a full body relaxing hot oil massage that includes the scalp and feet.
Spa manager Blanaidh Bailey, spa reservations agent Sarah Murphy and marketing executive Michelle Kavanagh were delighted to receive the coveted prize at an awards ceremony last week.
Heritage general manager Ger Alley said the spa team did “a fantastic job every day” and he was delighted to see them recognised with a national award.
The 7,000 square foot facility at the five-star resort in Killenard has 16 treatment rooms, with a wide variety of spa treatments and pampering packages. It includes a rustic sauna cabin, sanarium, caldarium, tepidarium and hammam, refreshing multi-sensory showers and ‘tissue-firming’ ice fountains.
The winning team says the Killenard spa is about to get even better, as refurbishment of the treatment rooms and thermal suite is due to be completed in early October.
The Irish Tatler awards highlight Ireland’s top spas and set the standard for quality, innovation and service. In selecting winners, a team of expert judges travelled around Ireland to evaluate spas, based on a specific set of criteria.
