JYSK set for Graiguecullen
JYSK, the Danish home retail brand, has announced plans to open three new stores in Ireland – including one, which will be located on the Laois/ Carlow border – in the first half of 2021. The new store, earmarked for location at Barrow Valley Retail Park in Graiguecullen, is expected to open in May, with other new outlets opening in Tralee, and in Cork at Eastgate Retail Park, Little Island in June.
The company applied, last June to Laois County Council to carry out work on two retail units, which are located in close proximity to Dunnes Stores and other outlets in the busy retail park in Graiguecullen, which is located on the Laois/ Carlow border
Since JYSK first launched in Ireland in April 2019, the brand has seen great success with stores in Portlaoise, Naas, Dublin and six other locations. The company currently employs 112 people in Ireland and indicates that the new store openings will generate 40 jobs.
