Members of Mountmellick Fire Station along with members of the Laois Local Authority roads personnel, are attending the scene of a fallen tree. The tree, which looks to have been on private property fell across the road, causing traffic to divert along alternative routes.

The incident occurred shortly after 8am this morning in an area known locally at Acragar outside of Mountmellick

Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
