WEDDING bells will ring out in County Hall on 4 May, as Laois Arts Office presents a comic play as part of the Bealtaine Festival for older people.
The comedy ‘Getting Hitched’ promises shared memories, storytelling, sing-song, poetry and great fun, all presented by Carnation Theatre.
The interactive play, delivered via the zoom platform, can be viewed online, with only 12 people invited to the event in line with Covid restrictions.
The lucky dozen will be guests at the wedding of Maread Ui Rhian and Micheal MacFicil. The theatre company says: “Dress up, toast, be merry and singalong with us as we reminisce around weddings of days gone by.”
The gilt-edged invitation to guests reads:
Mr. and Mrs. Ryan

of their daughter Maread Ui Rhian
to Micheal MacFicil.
