Laois hurlers cracking win over Antrim on Saturday has earned them a meeting with Waterford in the first round of the All-Ireland Hurling Qualifiers.

This game is scheduled to take place this coming weekend at a neutral venue which the GAA will confirm later today.

This will be a serious test for Cheddar Plunkett and his team despite the Deise being beaten by Clare in the Munster quarter-final a few weeks ago.

The other round one game sees Clare take on Wexford in a mouthwatering contest. Cork and Galway were given byes to round two.
