LAOIS-OFFALY gardaí are appealing for information, following an arson attack at a farm near the county border.

The major fire caused substantial damage to a dairy plant and machinery at the weekend.

The arson attack happened at a farm in Clonmore, Clonbullogue, Co Offaly, about 10km from Portarlington, in the early hours of Saturday 27 November.

Gardaí said they are investigating an incident, “during the course of which a fire was set which caused substantial damage to a dairy plant and machinery”.

They are appealing for information from anyone that passed through the Clonbullogue area between 4am and 7am last Saturday, particularly those that may have dashcam footage from the relevant time.

They are also interested in hearing from people living in the area, who may have information that could assist the investigation.
