Extras are needed for TG4 filming at the launch of the Leinster Fleadh next Monday 27 July at the Old Fort Protector, Portlaoise from 6pm to 8pm.

All are welcome along to take part in free family entertainment and for a chance to appear on television.

The traditional Irish music session is planned to be broadcast on TG4 on Sunday 10 July as part of its Fleadhfest programme.

The filming coincides with Laois branches of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann plans to make the return of the Leinster Fleadh a memorable event in Portlaoise from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July.

Preparations for all the events are well underway around the town and the Portlaoise host committee members are looking forward in anticipation to the fleadh weekend after a three-year hiatus since the last provincial fleadh.
