The four-star Midlands Park Hotel located in Portlaoise, Co. Laois has been awarded several awards at the Midlands 103 Hospitality Awards, which celebrate the best in hospitality services across counties Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and surrounding areas.
Midlands Park Hotel were thrilled to collect the following awards;
Hotel Bar of the Year – Charter Bar & Eatery
Receptionist of the Year – Aoife O’ Connor
Chef of Year – Bernard Rochford.

The hotel was the chosen venue to host the prestigious awards and the team could not be prouder to show their hospitality to their peers and colleagues in the industry. Serving 350 guests on the night, the event was enjoyed by all who attended. The night kicked off with a welcoming drinks reception in the lobby of the Hotel, closely followed by a four-course meal and the night finished up with entertainment from The LOL’s band.
Midlands Park Hotel Group Operations Manager – Dara Cruise was delighted to win the very special award – Contribution to Hospitality. Dara has been an integral member of the team at Midlands Park Hotel with the exceptional care and consideration he shows every team member.
Dara is heavily involved with The Irish Hotels Federation and is on the committee for Laois Tourism too, an outstanding contribution to the community. He was the driving force behind Midlands Park Hotel operating through COVID and was responsible for offering Kelly’s Steakhouse as a takeaway option for the locals of Portlaoise and the surrounding areas, in turn, keeping the team working through difficult times.
