Emily Stanley (née Neale), Oldtown House Cullahill passed away peacefully at Portlaoise General Hospital on Monday 23 January.
Emily was the beloved wife of the late Joe Stanley and much-loved mother of Alan, Pamela (Byers), Fergus and Michelle (Hales), her ten treasured grandchildren Alvin, Joseph, Ciara, Alicia, Matthew, Aaron, Reuben, Joy, Rose and Leeson, daughter-in-law Alison, sons-in-law Nigel and Henry, sisters-in-law Annie (Lalor), Sylvia (Neale) and Mildred (Neale), nieces, nephews and friends.
Emily was predeceased by her brothers Leeson, William and James Neale and sisters Lottie (Melbourne), Hilda (Cantwell) and Ida (Stanley)
The Stanley family would like to express their deep appreciation to the many loyal carers of the Bluebird team who cared for Emily in the last two years with great compassion. We remember also Theresa and Margaret.
Special thanks to Dr. Maher, the staff of Durrow Pharmacy and the Durrow Community Nurses for all their support and care.
Collectively all these people enabled Emily to remain at home in her beloved Oldtown for as long as possible and to you all, we will be forever indebted.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney on Wednesday evening 25 January from 4pm with prayers at 7pm. Funeral service in Saint Tighernaghs Church, Aughmacart on Thursday 26 January at 2pm followed by interment in Rathsaran Churchyard.
