LAOIS gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a dangerous driving incident in and around Borris in Ossory yesterday.

The car was eventually abandoned in a field after the frightening escapade along rural roads in the afternoon.

Gardaí said today: “We are seeking dashcam footage from anyone that witnessed dangerous driving in and around the Borris in Ossory area, including Main Street, Borris in Ossory, on Wednesday 8 March between 3.15pm and 3.45pm.”

The incident involving the car pictured occurred on the roads near Shanboe, Donaghmore, the Green Roads bar, Borris in Ossory and St Patricks Terrace road, continuing back up through Borris in Ossory town, Roscrea road and near Ballaghmore Castle, where it was abandoned near Cooleshill.
